Our 3rd to 6th grade curriculum is designed to build a lasting connection to Judaism.

All students will attend classes just once a week.

Students in Grades 3-6 have the option of choosing a class that meets on:
Sundays 9:15 am - 11:30 am OR
Mondays 4:15 pm - 6:30 pm OR
Tuesdays 4:15 pm - 6:30 pm

All classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment.

Our curriculum has a dual emphasis on Hebrew and Judaic content areas, focusing on Hebrew reading, prayer literacy and fluency, Torah study, Israel, Jewish Ethics, Holidays, Spirituality.... and more! Our teachers take great pride in creating fun and experiential lessons that are engaging and meaningful.

Our students get a taste of all aspects of Jewish ritual, culture and spirituality through this broad curriculum. The goal of our Hebrew program is for every child to become a capable Hebrew reader and feel a mastery over the prayers as well as have a basic modern Hebrew vocabulary. Our Hebrew classes focus on learning the prayers that make up our Shabbat liturgy. Each week students attend a weekly prayer service with our clergy, where they get to 'practice' prayers that are learned in the classroom.

And there's more!

We are holding a series of exciting Family Days that take place at various times Sunday afternoons, midweek evenings and on Shabbat. These wonderful workshops and programs are an opportunity to bring parents and children together with our clergy for fun, hands-on learning and experiences. We ask our families to try and attend at least four of these new and exciting Family Days.

Students in Grades 3-7 are invited and welcome to join our Junior Choir. Students develop a deep involvement in Judaism through music, foster a close relationship with our clergy, and create a sense of community among the students and parents involved. All Junior Choir participants will be expected to attend rehearsals, sing during High Holy Days and attend Family Shabbat services regularly.

All students partake in music sessions that are led by our cantor. The cantor works closely with the staff to align the curriculum with the material being taught in class.

We provide individualized support for children with special needs.  In addition to offering accommodations for children with IEPs and 504s, we have a Special Needs teacher on staff to meet with students and/or parents and to develop individualized instruction in a hands-on, multi-sensory learning environment.

Specifically for our 6th graders, we are pleased to offer a one hour Pre B'nai Mitzvah class, which meets once a month when Religious School is in session. These classes will better prepare your child to lead their service on the bimah for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Our Religious School strives to create community and relationships between and among our students and families. Join us!
